Protest Rookie Slam, Avoriaz (FR)

Perfect conditions for this first PROTEST ROOKIE SLAM, a snowpark perfect shape, a radiant sun and a highly motivated young snowboarders with an excellent technical level arrived in Avoriaz to collect valuable TTR points and win the chance to take part to the final of World Rookie Tour in Austria.

Kids from 3 different countries (France, UK and Swiss), from 9 to 17 years old took part to a Slopestyle 2Star TTR contest at the snowpark of La Chapelle, Avoriaz.

This Protest Rookie Slam has allowed these young snowboarders to showed their skills and on the podium we saw a good level of progression: Cab 540, 720, 540 and 720 rodeo back, to under flip.

In the Boys catogory,the Swiss Mickael Shärer and Simon Burki dominated and won for categories Rookie and Grom, the first French is Paul Veron ranked 4th.

In the boys category the French Chloe Sillieres top of his 12 years old with a incredible run on the bigger srtuctures of the snowpark: Cab 180 bach followed by a 360 front, tail bong on the golf ball and back side board slide on the box, this young promising snowboarders from Cauterets in the French Pyrenees.

The event is co-organized by the French Initiative Snowboard – My Snowboarding, the association representing French snowboarders in France powered by TTR World Snowboard Tour and the World Snowboard Federation and the event agency Boarderline.

After the event the young snowboarders will integrate the classification International TTR and the French national ranking My Snowboarding: www.mysnowboarding.fr/snowboarding/Ranking_national.html
