Countdown for the 2013 WSF World Rookie Tour

The WSF World Rookie Tour is ready to kick off the 2013 season and it welcomes its new tour sponsors
Volkl Snowboards and Blue-Tomato.

Volkl was already title sponsor of the World Rookie Finals years ago and it joins again the most famouse youth snowboard tour as title sponsor in Ischgl, sponsor in Livigno and official tour supplier. Blue-Tomato, the well known pan-european boardsports online shop, jump in as official tour sponsor and will join every european event with tons of gifts for all the partecipants. Finally Protest Boardwear, a long time partner of the World Rookie Tour, confirm his commitment for the youth snowboard development as official tour supplier.
Our mediapartners Onboard European Snowboard Magazine and MPora.com confirmed their wish to invite the best riders of the 2013 WSF World Rookie Tour to their end of season photo and video shooting “Send Off Session”. Last season Michael Sharer, Fridtjof Tischendorf and Rowan Coultas joined this special shooting in Kitzsteinhorn Park where “they went ballistic” and impressed all the media and pro riders. Below you can find the final World Rookie Tour 2013 calendar, where every event is part of the TTR World Snowboard Tour. Unfortunately the events in Canada and Norway will not happen as planned, but with 11 international events confirmed and a bunch of national qualifications in many countries, the tour 2013 will continue its mission to support the youth snowboard progression world wide and search for the future stars. The winners of the tour will conquere the ‘2013 World Rookie Champion’ titles at the Volkl World Rookie Finals 2013 in Ischgl, Austria, and will be awarded with Onboard, MPora.com and Cooler photoshootings, video shooting with film production company, invitations to world class events and snowboard freeride trips.
The World Rookie Tour will showcase again the future of snowboarding as well as searching tomorrow stars. The events program will combine freestyle contests, in slopestyle and halfpipe disciplines, with many other lifestyle activities offering a unique experience for all the partecipants.

World Rookie Tour Rules
The title of World Rookie Champions 2013 will be awarded to the winner of the 3Star World Rookie Finals 2013 in Ischgl, Austria, reserved to the top riders from previous Rookie Fests, plus selected riders from National Snowboard Associations and the top 20 riders, male and female, from the World Rookie Rank.

Age Groups
WSF rookie events are reserved to Rookies (born from 1st of January 1995 to 31st of December 1997) and Grom (born from 1st of January 1998 and up), both boys and girls. All contests of the World Rookie Tour will generate valuable results for the TTR World Snowboard Tour Ranks and for the World Rookie Rank developed by World Snowboard Federation in association with the TTR World Pro Snowboard Tour.
