Web Casting for the Air&style 06

Nokia Air & Style 06 on December 2nd 19:00 CET in Munich will be available live and on-demand following an exclusive partnership between Freecaster and Air & Style.

This partnership makes the world’s largest snowboard, FMX & live music event accessible to millions of viewers.

“Offering Air & Style LIVE is a challenge for Freecaster since the shear reach of our network makes it a challenge to predict the traffic we will generate,” says Raymond Dulieu, founder of Freecaster. “We stand for high quality, free access to video on the Internet and I want to do my best to offer Freecaster viewers the same level of LIVE quality that they are used to from our video on-demand service,” he adds.

To ensure the best possible viewer experience, Freecaster receives technical support by ISP Interoute and Apple Computer. After awarding Freecaster the Apple Design Award for Best QuickTime Content for Entertainment in 2004, Apple Computers again recognize Freecaster’s innovativeness by supporting its development.

Any website can offer its viewers the LIVE feed with English commentary of this year’s Nokia Air & Style Munich 06 without redirecting their viewers. A simple link to launch the Freecaster player next to the hosting homepage is all it takes. Visit the following page to learn more about how to integrate the stream on your website.

Riders List and Program for Air&style 2006

MOSESSON, CREPEL, MUELLER, FINCH, RICE, BENEDEK, ETTALA AND MORE PREPARING TO FACE OFF…

Hampus Mosesson(SWE), Mathieu Crepel (FRA), Shaun White(USA) And More – Battle for 1000 TTR Championships Points at – The 6(Six) Star TTR Event The Nokia Air And Style – Olympic Stadium – Munich, Germany

Munich, Germany – The Olympic Stadium, located in the heart of the Bavarian capital will erupt to the roar of thousands of kids, adrenalin filling FMX action and, by far the spectacle of the night, the clash of the World’s very best professional snowboarders, including none other than Olympic champion Shaun White(USA), reining Nokia Air&Style Champion Hampus Mosesson(SWE), TTR World Champion Mathieu Crepel(FRA) and local crowd favorite, the Top 16 TTR competitor David Benedek(GER).

Taking place on Saturday 2nd December, 2007, The Nokia Air and Style is Europe’s biggest annual urban stadium event. It is also the first 6(six) Star event of the 2006/2007 TTR World Snowboard Tour and will deliver up to 1000 TTR points per rider depending on his final result.

Arena Tickets are already sold out and with 25,000 spectators expected, this will be the TTR’s largest European based inner city snowboard gathering and the largest man-made ramp ever ridden. At 43 meters high, 172 meters long and with a gap of 7.5 meters situated 17 meters over the ground, the 355 ton steel structure, coated with 100 tons of snow will be monumental to architects and snowboards alike. A must see.

The Saturday night program showcases rookie action from some of the TTR’s finest young snowboard dominators. Mikkel Bang(NOR), Christian Haller(SUI), Iouri Podladtchikov(RUS) and local ripper Marco Smolla(GER) will be up against top junior stars such Jusso Laivisto(FIN) who’s rookie win at the Malmi&Oksanen Invitational was followed by impressive performances at the O’Neill SB Jam and 2nd in the Burton European Open Junior Slopestyle last year opened his doors to the international spotlights and other German junior rippers like Benny Urban or the Strauss twins who will be hard to split when it comes to a win. Both are riding exceptionally well after a great Southern Hemisphere season. The top rookie will secure a ticket with the big boys, and join the top 16 at the Air & Style in 2007.

And, as with many “Major’s” on the TTR World Snowboard Tour, the evening’s premier spectacle will be on the sixteen pre selected riders. Hampus Mosesson(SWE) as 2006 Nokia Air and Style champion and will certainly be out to hold back the heavy hitting competitors which include France’s Mathieu Crepel who had already proved that he is capable of a win in Munich by finishing a close second to Mosesson last year. (Crepel then went on to secure a blistering season of results culminating in his winning of the TTR World Tour Championships Crown.)

Furthermore, and undoubtedly the best rider in the world right now, Olympic champion and USA household name, Shaun White’s(USA) presence at the event is going to be atomic. The red headed wonder boy did not lose one competition last year. He was the most consistent, most progressive and most exposed rider of last year, if not of all times. His unprecedented runs at the Honda Session at Vail, an Olympic Halfpipe gold medal and back-to-back wins at the Burton US Open simply defined him as the icon of tomorrow and the fiercest competitor period.

So, with one defending event champion, a current Olympic Halfpipe icon and the current reining TTR World Champion converging in front of thousands of raging fans, the night spectacle will without a doubt be the ‘clash of the titans,’ setting the stage for the next five months of back to back, world class snowboard action.
