World Rookie Camp Hintertux, November 11th–15th, is now the first camp of the 2026/27 season. World Rookie Camp Lapland in Levi has been cancelled: due to unseasonably warm weather and an unpredictable long-term outlook, we cannot safely guarantee the levels of snow we need for all our high-quality jumps and features.
Hintertux is the third edition, presented by Ästhetiker, World Snowboard Federation and World Rookie Tour. Snowboard and freeski, all ages, riders from all over the world on the Hintertux Glacier in Tyrol, Austria.
Five days in a freshly shaped park
Park shaping by Better Parks – Wille Kaufmann. Slopestyle training and coaching with the Ästhetiker crew every morning from Thursday to Saturday, whether you come with your coach or ride solo. Filmers and photographers follow the camp all week, and every rider gets pics and footage for free.
Sunday, November 15th: the Rail Session that counts
The camp closes with a Rail Session, and it has real stakes:
- Rookie Rank points for snowboard and freeski
- Best Girl and Best Boy win free entry to the World Rookie Finals FS & SNB (accommodation, lift tickets and entry fee included)
- Top 3 girls and top 3 boys qualify for Rock a Rail Innsbruck
Off the snow
A visit to the Natur Eis Palast, a Glacier Technical Insides Workshop presented by Hintertux, trampoline and skate time at the Kaboom Hall in Kaltenbach, a WRT workshop for coaches and parents, the Video Contest prize-giving and a Saturday night party.
Package and registration
The 5-day package is €830 per athlete, coach or parent: 4 nights with breakfast and dinner at the Adler Inn – Tyrol Mountain Resort (4-star superior, 4 minutes by bus from the glacier), 4 lift passes (November 12th–15th) and all workshop entries. An extra lift pass for November 11th is €38.
