The World Rookie Tour returned to Switzerland with the highly anticipated Swiss Rookie Fest 2025, hosted at the legendary Elgg Skatepark near Zurich. The event gathered the best young talents from across Europe, and once again confirmed Switzerland as one of the hottest stages for the future of skateboarding.
Rookie division: Gerber on top again
All eyes were on Simon Gerber (@simongerbr), the World Rookie Champion 2024, who didn’t disappoint. Gerber dominated the Rookie division with powerful, creative lines, proving why he is one of the most promising riders in Europe. With this victory, he added another milestone to his already impressive journey. Joining him on the podium were Larry McGarry (@larrymcgarry) in second and Chillbro (@chillbro1) in third, both riders showing high consistency and style.

Grom division: a new generation rising
In the Grom category, Tiago Barcik (@tiago_barcik) stole the show with clean execution and fearless energy, earning himself first place. Kevin Loi (@kevinnn.loi) followed with a strong second, while Fabiano (@el_fabiano_13) grabbed third. These young skaters displayed talent and creativity that highlight the bright future of skateboarding in Europe.
Women’s podium: power and progression
The Women’s contest celebrated the growing scene of female skateboarding in Switzerland. Marlena (@marlena.wdb) impressed the judges and the crowd, taking home first place with confidence and style. Lela Helfenstein (@lelahelfenstein) secured second place, showing determination and progression that inspired everyone present.
Best Trick Contest: pushing limits
The Best Trick session closed the event with an explosion of creativity and commitment. On the kinked rail, Simon Gerber landed a flawless fs blunt flip out, while Chillbro lit up the crowd with a fs nbs bigspin out on the down rail. Both tricks earned roars of approval and capped off an incredible weekend.

Looking ahead
The Swiss Rookie Fest 2025 at Elgg Skatepark not only crowned new champions but also reaffirmed the World Rookie Tour’s role as the ultimate stage for young riders chasing progression and international recognition.
