World Rookie Tour 2025 shines in Portugal at Boa Sombra Skatepark (Peniche)

The World Rookie Tour 2025 brought the heat to the Portuguese coast with an unforgettable stop at Boa Sombra Skatepark, the brand-new indoor skatepark in Peniche. This event was the final qualifying stage before the World Rookie Tour Skateboard Finals in Slovenia, showcasing some of the most promising under-18 riders from around the world.

Over the weekend, young skaters displayed fearless style, technical mastery, and creativity that had the judges struggling to pick winners. With an atmosphere buzzing with music, graffiti, and surf workshops, the event blended skateboarding culture and lifestyle, making Boa Sombra Skatepark the epicentre of youth action sports.

The level of progression in both Rookie and Grom divisions (under 15) was remarkable. Skaters not only competed fiercely, but also pushed the scene forward with innovative tricks and inspiring performances. As one judge put it, “The talent on display was extraordinary, making the judging process challenging but incredibly inspiring.”
