The Ursus Rookie Fest is getting closer, and here are some key updates every snowboarder and team should know. First of all, the competition is officially registered as a WSPL Amateur event with a 2-star rating. This means riders will earn valuable WSPL points while competing in a structured, international contest environment designed specifically for young athletes.
The international field is already taking shape. Multiple nations have confirmed their participation, making Ursus Rookie Fest a truly global meeting point for the snowboard community. Teams and riders are expected from Poland, France, Estonia, Australia, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates, Norway, Czech Republic, Italy, Spain and Russia, with more confirmations still coming in. This guarantees a high-level and diverse field, perfect for meaningful international comparison.
Another key element is the park setup. The slopestyle course at Ursus Snowpark will be built to the same standards used for the FIS European Cup, taking place in the days just before the event. Expect a professional layout, progressive features and a competition environment that mirrors top-level European contests — all while remaining rider-focused and safe.
But the World Rookie Tour is not just about competition.
As part of the event, riders will take part in a special workshop within the He.Art Project is an initiative that combines sport, creativity and inclusion. During the workshop, athletes will have the opportunity to customise skateboard decks and turn them into unique pieces of art, working side by side with young people with disabilities from the Gruppo Gamma of Cremona.
