World Rookie Street Tour: the new urban chapter of the World Rookie Tour

The World Rookie Tour expands with the launch of the World Rookie Street Tour: a fresh urban series for freeskiers and snowboarders, created in collaboration with Rock A Rail.

The World Rookie Street Tour is here! And it’s bringing a brand-new urban twist to the legendary World Rookie Tour.
This season, the WRT joins forces with Rock A Rail, Europe’s most iconic street event, to create a platform where freeskiers and snowboarders can showcase their creativity, style, and progression in authentic urban environments.

From now on, during each Rock A Rail stop, one full day will be transformed into a World Rookie Fest, officially part of the World Rookie Street Tour calendar.
Riders will challenge themselves on rails, ledges, and innovative street features, turning every city setup into a playground for new tricks and bold style.

The first stop of the World Rookie Street Tour kicks off this Sunday, November 16th, at the Open Rail Jam in Hintertux, during the World Rookie Camp.
The top riders will earn a spot for Rock A Rail Innsbruck, where they’ll join the action alongside some of the 2025 WRT champions.

After Hintertux, the World Rookie Street Tour will move to Riga, Latvia (November 30th), and then to the Netherlands (December 21st); spreading the WRT energy across Europe before the winter tour fully begins.

The World Rookie Street Tour represents the natural evolution of the WRT philosophy, bringing its authentic spirit of progression, friendship, and creativity into the heart of the city.
By joining forces with Rock A Rail, the Tour connects mountain and urban cultures, inspiring a new generation of riders to express themselves beyond the slopes.
Each stop of the World Rookie Street Tour will deliver not only contests, but also community vibes, music, and the unmistakable rookie energy that makes the WRT truly unique.

Rock A Rail The Hague in The Netherlands

This new chapter confirms the mission of the World Rookie Tour: to inspire young talent, connect communities, and celebrate action sports culture in all its forms —from the backcountry to city streets.

Upcoming stops:

  • Nov 16 – Open Rail Jam Hintertux, Austria

  • Nov 30 – RaR Rookie Fest Riga, Latvia

  • Dec 21 – RaR Rookie Fest Den Haag, Netherlands

Same progression. New playground. The World Rookie Street Tour is on.

UK Rookie Fest 2025: World Rookie Tour lands at Scotland’s legendary Unit 23!

We’re beyond excited to announce a brand-new stop in the 2025 World Rookie Tour calendar: the UK Rookie Fest 2025, set to take place on August 23 at the legendary Unit 23 Skatepark in Dumbarton, Scotland!

UK Rookie Fest 2025

Although the World Rookie Tour has previously stopped in the UK—with past events in Glasgow and Manchester—this is our debut at Scotland’s iconic Unit 23 Skatepark in Dumbarton, and we couldn’t ask for a better host. Unit 23 Skatepark is not only the largest indoor skatepark in the UK, but also a core hub for the skateboarding community. Open since 2002 and proudly rider-owned and rider-run, the park is designed by skaters, for skaters – a true dream spot for young shredders.

With 56,000 square feet of riding space and ramps spread across three massive halls, Unit 23 has something for everyone: from beginners to seasoned rookies. The facilities include a huge foam pit for trying out new tricks, as well as a replica of the iconic Little Devil Bowl. Whether you’re looking to compete, progress, or just vibe with the international skate community, this stop is not to be missed.

Top riders will not only earn their place on the podium but also secure qualification for the World Rookie Skateboard Finals 2025, which will be held in Slovenia this September.

As always, the WRT is about much more than trophies. It’s about giving the next generation of skaters the tools, visibility, and inspiration to pursue a professional career. And what better place to do that than Scotland’s most iconic skatepark?

On Saturday, August 23rd, the UK Rookie Fest 2025 will feature:
