Event Schedule:

A world-class event in freestyle skiing

Since its inception in 2015, the Nanshan Freeski Open has welcomed over 50 elite athletes from more than 10 countries, including notable stars like Eileen Gu, Alex Hall, Gus Kenworthy, and Matthew Walker. The event has consistently delivered high-energy performances and was celebrated as one of Beijing’s Top 10 Premium Sporting Events in 2024.

The 2025 Livigno World Rookie Fest is an official FIS event, offering participants the chance to earn valuable FIS points. However, FIS code is not mandatory: non-FIS athletes are warmly invited to participate and showcase their skills.

2025 Livigno World Rookie Fest: 20th edition

We are excited to announce the 20th edition of the 2025 Livigno World Rookie Fest, the longest-running and most anticipated event of the World Rookie Tour. It will occur from January 11th to 18th, 2025, in the stunning alpine setting of Livigno (Italy).

Once again, the event will feature both freeski and snowboard competitions, but with a major twist: this year, the order of the competitions has been reversed compared to last year! The event will kick off with freeski from January 11th to 15th, followed by the snowboard competitions from January 14th to 18th. This is a unique opportunity to experience the thrill and excitement alongside riders and fans worldwide.

2025 Highlights: all riders on rookie and grom podiums of both disciplines will secure a spot in the World Rookie Tour Finals:
– top freeskier will head to Madonna di Campiglio (Italy) from March 29th to April 3rd

With the upcoming winter tour on the horizon, the World Rookie Camp Hintertux is the perfect opportunity to refine your style and train on one of the best park and pipe setups in Europe. The countdown is on! The World Rookie Skateboard Finals 2024 are just days away, and excitement is reaching new heights. From September 27 to 29, 2024, Mystic Sk8 Park in Prague will host the world’s top young skaters, competing for the ultimate title of World Rookie Champion. 🏆🌍

Transborder Rookie Fest: the final stop before the World Rookie Finals!

Get ready for the Transborder Rookie Fest, the last chance to qualify for the 2024 World Rookie Finals in Prague! On September 21st, the action will unfold at the Debex Skatepark in Debrecen, Hungary, marking the final qualifying event of the World Rookie Tour before the ultimate showdown in the iconic Mystic Skatepark.

Skateboarders from across Europe will compete in this thrilling street skateboarding contest, showcasing their skills in front of official judges and skateboarding experts. With categories for both Rookies (born between 2005 and 2008) and Groms (born from 2009 and up), this is a must-attend event for young talents aspiring to make a mark in the skateboarding world.

The Transborder Rookie Fest promises an unforgettable experience, starting with open training sessions on September 20th. Then, on September 21st, the competition kicks off, where the top 3 riders in each category, both male and female, will earn their spot in the World Rookie Finals. Don’t miss the epic Best Trick contest, where the winner will also secure a ticket to Prague.

World Rookie Skateboard Finals set to rock Prague’s Mystic Sk8 Park

The world’s best young skaters will converge in Prague from September 27 to 29, 2024, for the World Rookie Skateboard Finals. Hosted at the legendary Mystic Sk8 Park, this event will mark the grand finale of a season that spanned Europe and Southeast Asia. The Finals will gather top skaters from Europe, Asia, and the U.S., creating an unforgettable showcase of skateboarding talent and lifestyle.

Located on Štvanice Island and surrounded by the Vltava River, Mystic Sk8 Park offers a unique and iconic backdrop for the crowning of the 2024 World Rookie Skateboard Champions. The stakes are high, with impressive prizes up for grabs, including a wildcard to the Simple Session 2025 in Talin, invitations to the Mystic Sk8 Cup 2025, and exclusive Red Bull experiences.

This year’s Finals will feature riders from two age categories: the “Rookies” (born between 2005 and 2008) and the younger “Groms” (born in 2009 or later). Spectators can look forward to thrilling contests among the most promising young skateboarders, with the event broadcast live on www.boardriding.com.

Get ready for the next stop of the World Rookie Skateboard Tour as the Balkans Rookie Fest returns to the beautiful city of Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, on August 24th and 25th, 2024. This exciting event is a highlight of the tour, where young skateboard talents from all over the region will showcase their skills in a thrilling competition that promises to deliver unforgettable moments.

The Balkans Rookie Fest will take place at Stara Zagora’s newly renovated skatepark, a venue that earned rave reviews during the 2022 edition of the tour. This state-of-the-art facility will be closed to the general public for the entire weekend, ensuring that riders have the perfect environment to train and compete. Whether you are a seasoned skater or a rising star, this skatepark is designed to bring out the best in every participant.

Stara Zagora is a charming city located about 200 kilometers from Sofia, Bulgaria’s capital. For international participants, Sofia International Airport is the nearest major airport, and the city can be easily reached with a two-hour drive along the highway. Once you arrive, you’ll be greeted by the warm hospitality that Stara Zagora is known for, making your stay an enjoyable experience both on and off the board.

The entry fee for the event is 20 BGN or 10 EUR, payable in cash at the race office on-site. Riders of all levels are encouraged to join and be part of this exciting chapter of the World Rookie Skateboard Tour.
