After the events in South America and New Zealand, the Black Yeti is moving in the Alps, in Switzerland.
Everything is ready for the first 2018.19 WRT event in the Northern Hemisphere. From the 12th to the 16th of December Rookies and Groms will have the opportunity to compete in the amazing Corvatsch snowpark and to win a qualification spot for the 2019 World Rookie Finals in Kitzsteinhorn, Zell am See-Kaprun, Austria, and prestigious prizes offered by WRT sponsors.
Accommodation Packages and Entry Fee
The organizers offer an all-inclusive package including 3 nights in a Bed and Breakfast (check in on Wednesday, check out on Saturday), 3-day lift ticket (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) and the entry fee at the rate of 310€. Extra cost for accommodation multiple room: 55€/person. Extra cost for lift ticket: 25€/person.The entry fee costs 70€.
The winners will be awarded with one all-inclusive ticket for the World Rookie Finals in Kitzsteinhorn Zell am See-Kaprun, two all-inclusive tickets for Pila Rookie Fest and three surf camps offered by Surftolive.com. From the 9th to the 14th of August the best rookies of the world and the future south American snowboard stars will gather in Valle Nevado to participate to the South America Rookie Fest!
The slopestyle contest will take place on Saturday the 11th in the spectacular Valle Nevado snowpark and beside the competition will be organized two days of backcountry riding, a trip to Santiago where riders will have the opportunity to surf and skate in Mall Sport and take part to a video and photo shooting with some pro athlets.

About Valle Nevado
Valle Nevado is a modern, international level resort, known for its powder snowboarding, good backcountry access and well maintained slopes for all levels of snowboarders. This resort is part of the Tres Valles (Three Valleys) along with neighboring resorts La Parva and El Colorado. Combined, the Tres Valles boast the largest terrain (7,000 acres)of South America.
Regarding the weather, it claims up to 80 percent sunny days, but due to its altitude and orientation, it generally maintains good, dry powder snow conditions for riders exploring the groomed slopes, bowls, and backcountry.

Following last year’s success, the Black Yeti returns to New Zealand for the second consecutive year! From Tuesday 14 to Thursday 16 August the amazing Cardrona Alpine Resort in Wanaka will host some of the world’s best under eighteen snowboarders and give them the opportunity to show their incredible skills and win a qualify spot in the legendary 2019 World Rookie Tour Final in Kitzsteinhorn – Zell am See-Kaprun, Austria.Riders who are born in 2003, 2002 and 2001 and entered in the FIS NZ Freestyle Open will automatically be entered in NZ Rookie Fest and can earn points on the World Rookie Tour points lists.
The Slopestyle qualifications will be held on Tuesday 14 August and the finals on Wednesday 15 August. The 2018 World Rookie Finals started in the best way possible! Yesterday – 10th April – Kaprun welcomed 141 riders from 24 different Nations, such New Zealand, Australia, Usa, Canada, Japan, Finland and Lithuania.
For the second year in a row, the finals of the largest youth snowboard series is hosted in the prestigious snowpark of Kitzsteinhorn, where the best worldwide riders are anxious to show off their tricks and have fun all together. During the registration and opening dinner at the Jufa Hotel, all Rookies and Groms had the opportunity to get together for the first time and to meet again their friends from all over.
Today is training day and Slopestyle Girls Qualification in the marvelous Kitzsteinhorn Snowpark. The competition set up consists of two tables with two jumps each and three jib tables with different obstacles that can inspire the riders to put down their most creative tricks.
In the afternoon, Rookies and Groms can join the First Aid workshop from 17.00 until 18.00 at the Jufa Hotel, where an EMT will show and teach them how to react and behave in case of an accident.

After 6 months of events in New Zealand, in Italy, in Switzerland, in the USA and in Japan, the World Rookie Tour came to an end and is ready to see the next World Rookie Tour Champions in Kitzsteinhorn – Zell am See-Kaprun.
From the 10th to the 15th of April, riders will have the chance to show their skills and and have fun in the amazing Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn, which offers incredible kickers, a massive superpipe and countless rails, boxes and obstacles.
The winners will be rewarded with special prizes: wildcard to World Class Events, filming session with Pirate Movie Production, invitation to Rookie Fest Shooting, Trip to Chile and many tickets to next season Rookie Fest events.
Moreover, to make this event even more memorable are the lifestyle activities: social dinner every day, workshops with Viva con Aqua, which is a clean water project,a first aid clinic, a dedicated Yoga Session especially created for the World Rookie Tour by the founder of kimiyo – Yoga for Kids And Teens, Miriam Deller and for the first time the Gorilla Workshop, a healthy food initiative where riders can produce some smoothies. Last but not least the final party to celebrate the end of a great season.

Rookies get ready because the next European stop of the World Rookie Tour will be for the very first time in Pila, Valle d’Aosta, Italy, for the Pila Rookie Fest by DEEJAY Xmasters from the 22nd to the 25th February 2018! The event will take place at the amazing Areaeffe snowpark of Pila, a beautiful freestyle terrain surrounded by the massive freeride mountains of the Alps. The park is situated at 2.200 meters and it offers 4 different lines for every level: Begginer, Intermediate, Big and Rail. Moreover, thanks to the wonderful high mountain environment, it is the best place to have fun doing some freeride. Indeed one of the activities that will be organized is a Freeride Safety Clinic aimed to enhance the knowledge about the mountain and about how to have fun safely.

The World Rookie Tour goes on and now it’s time to get ready and register for the Corvatsch Rookie Fest that will be held from the 13th to the 17th December2017 at the amazing Corvatsch Snowpark in Switzerland.
The black Yeti will be back in Modena (Italy) for the second edition of the World Rookie Rail Jam by Skipass! It will take place during the largest italian Tourism and Winter Sports Fair at ModenaFiere, from the 26th to the 28th October 2017.
It’s a urban trail jam contest, on an high quality rail set up, where 32 rookies and groms can compete and show their best. The first 3 winners in each category will be qualified for the 2018 World Rookie Finals in Kitzsteinhorn at Zell am See-Kaprun! The rookie and the grom winners will be awarded with all-inclusive tickets for the World Rookie Finals in Kitzsteinhorn at Zell am See-Kaprun and for the new 2018 event “Valle d’Aosta Rookie Fest”.
The contest will take place on the 27th.
On the 28th the top 5 riders of the World Rookie Rail Jam will have the chance to compete at the Rail Pro Skipass with a prize money pool of 5.000€. The other participants will have the opportunity to visit the beautiful city of Modena and have fun at Le Gobbe skatepark.

The Black Yeti is starting the new season in Modena (Italy) for the 2017 World Rookie Rail Jam by Skipass that will take place during “Skipass”, the Tourism and Winter Sports Fair at ModenaFiere, the 27th and 28th October 2017.
Skipass, the most important event for mountain and winter sports lovers with more than 86.000 visitors, will be the amazing stage for the annual “urban” date of the World Rookie Tour. Skipass Pro Rail, one of the Europe’s best urban rail set in the last years, is designed and built by the wise shapers of the F-tech Company based in South Tyrol.
As has become the tradition at the World Rookie Tour events, organization will offer the opportunity to attend many side activities, that will make the Rookie experience in Modena even more memorable: unmissable visit at the Ferrari Museum, the big Skipass final party, and a special Skate&Pizza Session.
The event is reserved to a maximum number of 32 riders, and each national team can compete with 4 riders. But to make the event even more special, 24 invited riders will participate for free, included accommodation for 2 nights (26 and 27 October), entry fee and fair tickets. Every WSF national rookie team has 3 “all-inclusive” spots for the riders. Coaches and families are welcome with special hotel offers and Skipass fair ticket for free.

Registration and accommodation
Black Yeti offers entry fee, entry ticket for the Skipass fair, accommodation for 2 nights (check in Thursday 26 October – check out Saturday 28 October) until reaching 24 athletes. Each WSF national snowboard association will have 3 all inclusive free sport. To all riders and coaches registration fees and fair tickets are
free. Riders, coaches and families will be hosted in the same hotel. Special hotel rates are available for coaches and families (approx. 40€/night).For national teams who want to participate with more than 3 athletes, information will be announced later (registration fee and fair entry tickets will be free, special rate for hotel).v+
