Garda Rookie Camp 2026 is ON: first-ever BMX & Skate camp in Italy hits Riva del Garda

From September 10th to 13th, 2026, the World Rookie Tour drops something completely new: the Garda Rookie Camp, landing in Riva del Garda for four days of pure skate and BMX progression.

And here’s the big one: for the first time ever in Italy, a World Rookie Tour camp will feature both BMX and SKATEBOARD together. Same spot, same vibe, same next-gen energy.

Hosted by Black Yeti and part of the official WRT circuit, this camp is built for riders who want to level up, connect with other rookies from different countries, and ride one of the cleanest setups in Northern Italy: Go Fast Skatepark.

What’s the plan? Expect daily sessions with qualified coaches, video shooting, side activities — and a full weekend of contests to close it out:

Two events, one location, zero excuses.

Important: Camp and contests are independent. You can join the full camp experience, compete in one or both Rookie Fests as a day rider, or do both. Nothing is mandatory, you choose your level of commitment.

Not just a camp. It’s a full experience.

The camp is open to riders aged 7+, with at least a basic riding level (no first-timers here). Safety is taken seriously: helmet mandatory, 24/7 supervision, and certified coaching staff.

Price & what’s included
The participation fee is €370, and includes:

  • 3 nights accommodation (shared rooms, half board)
  • Daily training sessions
  • Contest entry (BMX + Skate)
  • Photo & video coverage
  • Full supervision

Not included: travel, lunches, insurance (available for €30 if needed), and personal extras.

Registration & deadlines
You can secure your spot by:

  • Paying full fee upfront
  • Or splitting: €200 deposit by July 20 + €170 by September 4

Spots are limited, and after September 4th, cancellations mean full fee is lost—so don’t sleep on it.

Why this matters:

This is more than a new camp. It’s a shift.
WRT is pushing harder into urban action sports, building a real bridge between mountain culture and street culture.

If you’re into progression, crew vibes, and stacking clips while riding one of Italy’s best locations… this is your move.

See you in Riva. Bring your best tricks.

Strong comeback for the World Rookie Camp at Hintertux Glacier

The second edition of the World Rookie Camp Hintertux confirmed once again why this event is one of the most inspiring freestyle gatherings in Europe. From 12 to 16 November 2025, more than 30 young snowboarders and freeskiers from seven nations met at Betterpark Hintertux, turning the glacier into the ultimate playground to kick off the new winter season.

Organized by the World Rookie Tour in collaboration with Ästhetiker and the World Snowboard Federation, the camp combined professional training, education, and fun the perfect mix for the next generation of freestyle talents. Riders aged between 11 and 18 spent five days on snow, improving their skills under the guidance of an experienced coaching crew, focusing on style, safety, and technical progression.

But the experience at World Rookie Camp Hintertux went far beyond snowboarding and freeskiing. Off snow sessions included a guided visit to the Spannagel Cave, where participants explored one of the most fascinating natural landmarks of the Zillertal Valley, and trampoline training at KABOOOM Airparc, where they practiced airtime, coordination, and body control in a playful way.

World Rookie Camp Hintertux

Knowledge met practice during the Judge Workshop led by Balasz Gyorki, giving riders a deeper understanding of judging criteria and contest formats a unique learning opportunity for those dreaming of competing on the World Rookie Tour circuit.

Les Deux Alpes Freestyle Camp 2025: an unforgettable week of snow, music, and community

The Les Deux Alpes freestyle camp concluded with remarkable success, bringing together 80+ participants from across Europe for six days of intense action, creativity, and unforgettable experiences. This year’s edition elevated the camp to new heights with enhanced content production, diverse activities, and an atmosphere that perfectly captured the spirit of freestyle snowboarding and skateboarding.

Professional Media Team and Premium Content Production

This year’s camp featured a significant upgrade with the addition of a dedicated photographer and videographer to the team throughout the entire week. This professional media team proved instrumental in capturing every highlight moment, ensuring no trick, no smile, and no memorable interaction went undocumented. Daily recap videos and consistent photo updates showcased each participant on social media, creating a comprehensive visual diary of the week’s adventures.

The enhanced content strategy not only documented the camp experience but also provided participants with professional-quality memories of their time on the slopes and in the park. Having a dedicated media team meant riders could focus entirely on their progression while knowing their best moments were being captured by experienced professionals.

Competition Excellence and Creative Challenges

Two international competitions in skateboarding and snowboarding showcased the incredible talent gathered at Les Deux Alpes. The competitive spirit was perfectly complemented by top-tier snow conditions that provided the ideal backdrop for pushing limits and landing new tricks.

Les Deux Alpes

The innovative “Spot to Spot” contest, organised in collaboration with Sauce Event, brought a fresh format to the competition scene. Riders moved between different features in the snowpark, spending 30 minutes at each location, with prizes awarded for the best tricks. This high-energy format not only generated spectacular visual content but also encouraged creative approach variations across different obstacles.

Cultural Enrichment Beyond the Slopes

The camp’s cultural program proved equally impressive. Spanish graffiti legend El Xupet Negre led an inspiring workshop, introducing participants to the history of street art before collaborating on a stunning mural that now adorns the skatepark. This artistic element added a unique dimension to the traditional snow sports focus.

Music played a central role in the explosive outdoor concert by the rock band Resto Basket, creating a standout moment that united all participants around live music. The popular hip-hop and dancehall sessions returned by demand, offering riders an alternative form of expression and movement off the snow.

The rock band Resto Basket

Educational Opportunities and International Solidarity

The freestyle judging clinic, led by two international judges, provided valuable insights into competitive evaluation criteria and scoring systems. This educational component helped participants understand the technical aspects of competition beyond just performing tricks.

A particularly meaningful aspect of the camp was hosting the Afghan national snowboard team, supported by the Snowboarders of Solidarity project led by Victor Daviet. Their inspiring story, recently featured in an Arte documentary, sparked important discussions about resilience, community, and the universal language of sport.

Looking Ahead: Les Deux Alpes 2026

The success of this year’s camp sets the stage for an equally exciting 2026 edition. Mark your calendars for May 10-17, 2026, when Les Deux Alpes will once again become the epicentre of European freestyle culture, bringing together riders, artists, and enthusiasts for another week of incredible experiences.

The combination of world-class facilities, diverse programming, and the unique mountain atmosphere of Les Deux Alpes continues to make this camp a must-attend event for freestyle enthusiasts across Europe.
