The World Rookie Tour Skateboarding 2025 is coming back to Switzerland with a brand-new edition of the Swiss Rookie Fest 2025, scheduled for Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Skatepark Elgg near Zurich. Hosted by Skate Academy, this youth skateboarding contest is part of the official WRT calendar and offers a unique chance to qualify for the World Rookie Skateboard Finals 2026.

The event is open to young skateboarders from all over Europe and beyond, with two official WRT categories: Groms (under 14) and Rookies (under 18). Whether you’re already competing in national events or just starting your journey into the skateboarding scene, the WRT Contest Elgg is the perfect place to meet the community, improve your skills, and have an unforgettable experience.
The contest will follow the Jam Session + Best Run format, with expert judges scoring each rider based on style, creativity, and consistency. Trophies and prizes will be awarded to the top skaters, and the overall winners will receive the coveted Golden Ticket, granting them direct access to the World Rookie Tour Finals.
