World Rookie Tour: Australia Trip 2016

As every year during summer time (on Northern Emipshere) World Rookie Tour awards the winners with an amazing trip where rookies have the chance to gain a life experience, this year was time for Australia.

As soon we landed we had our first mission in front of us, let the rookies compete at Mile High, one great event where a lot of pros are shredding together with good and real snowboarding vibes.

Mile High’s contest was definitely from the storm to sun, with more than one days waiting for better conditions until a good final days, our rookies had a great experience competing with the pros, Kokomo impressed with her great level for a 11years old girl, Isak, World Rookie Champion in charge, was not on his 100% due to an injured but he had fun with all the friends down there, and Takeru our Best Grom, missed the finals only for one place, with a great final 13th place.

After some days on snow it was time to go surfing, skateboarding and visiting Sydney. Under a sunny spring weather we had some fun surf sessions, which gave us the change to discover new talents… , we visited and cruised Sydney and nearby until the beautiful Blue Mountains, shred different skateparks and the great Monster Skatepark thanks to Darren and Thredbo resort.

Back to the Snowy Mountains for more snowboarding before leave the kangaroos land, thanks to Thredbo our accommodation was amazing, unfortunately the weather was not the same, Australian Rookie Fest was canceled due to bad weather and heavy rainy days, and for our crew was not easy, but we find a way to shred Thredbo Resort and shoot around and it was fun, you will see on the video which will be released in Livigno during World Rookie Fest 2017.

Thanks to Ishi the legend, Fede, Rich, Philippe and Thredbo, Darren, all the friends met down under, and specially to our rookies Kokomo, Taker, Isak.
